Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Vegas Plumbing Pros ("we", "us" or "our") collects through vegasplumbingpros.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Vegas Plumbing Pros is a free website with plumbing advice and water calculators for Las Vegas Valley homeowners. We are not a plumbing contractor, and we do not currently refer homeowners to plumbers.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Emails. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
• Earlier requests. The Site used to offer a callback form. If you used it, we hold the name, phone number, issue type and any email address and message you gave us. The form has been removed.

Information collected automatically

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. It uses cookies and similar technology to collect information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the Site, your device and browser type, and your approximate location based on your IP address.
• Error monitoring. We use Sentry to detect and fix errors on the Site. Every page loads a script from Sentry, which receives your IP address when it does. When a page error happens, Sentry also receives technical details such as your browser and device type and the page address. We do not use Sentry's session recording feature.
• Hosting and delivery. Our hosting and network providers, Netlify and Cloudflare, process standard technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver and protect the Site. Pages also load fonts from Google Fonts and code from public content delivery networks (jsDelivr, unpkg and the Tailwind CSS CDN), which receive your IP address when your browser requests those files. Links to the Nevada State Contractors Board open its own site, where its own policies apply.

How we use information

• To reply to your emails, including enquiries about buying this domain.
• To operate, secure and fix the Site.
• To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
• To comply with the law and protect our rights.

We do not use your details to send you marketing messages. We do not make marketing calls or send marketing text messages.

Who we share information with

• Service providers. Companies that run parts of the Site for us: Netlify (hosting, and storage of earlier callback requests), Cloudflare (network and security), Google (analytics and fonts), Sentry (error monitoring), content delivery networks, and our email provider.
• Legal reasons. Where the law requires it, or to protect the safety, rights or property of others or ourselves.
• A new owner. If the Site or the business is sold or transferred, information may pass to the new owner, who will be responsible for it from then on.

Google Analytics and cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends information about your visit to Google. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting your information with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings. The Site works without these cookies.

Tracking across websites: yes. Third parties, including Google, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site.

Nevada residents: your right to opt out of sale

We do not sell your personal information. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first. Nevada residents may still submit a verified request directing us not to sell covered information we have collected about them, at any time, by emailing our designated request address: [email protected]. Please include your name and the phone number or email address you gave us so we can verify your request. We will respond within 60 days, or tell you if we need up to 30 more days.

Reviewing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you have given us by emailing [email protected]. We will verify that the request comes from you before acting on it. This covers information we hold.

How long we keep information

We keep emails and earlier callback requests for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep reasonable records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time. Analytics and error data are kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics and Sentry.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, and the Site is served over an encrypted connection. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please email us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

The Site links to other websites, such as the Nevada State Contractors Board. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to this policy, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date and the Last updated date on this page. We encourage you to check this page from time to time.
